Our Welted Fingerless Gloves pattern has been a shop favorite for years. What better way to play with one skein of Brooklyn Tweed's new yarn, . DK-weight Arbor is a workhorse of a yarn and a perfect match for gloves. The long-wearing warmth of wool, and so many pretty colors!
Knit in the round starting with welted cuffs, moving on to a neat thumb gusset, our Welted Gloves make up quickly. One skein of yarn, easy for gifting, and oh-so-useful! Wear them when knitting outdoors on a chilly day. Or layer them over your fine leather gloves when the temperature drops.

FINISHED SIZE
Women’s medium: 6½"/16cm around palm (for smaller hands, use smaller needles throughout).
YARN
1 skein (145 yds/133m each) or approx. 100 yds/91m of an equivalent DK-weight yarn.

NEEDLES & NOTIONS
US 6 (4mm) double-point needles, or size to obtain gauge.
US 5 (3.75mm) double-points, or one size smaller than gauge size.
Optional: 6–10 small buttons.
GAUGE
Approx. 23 sts = 4"/10cm in stockinette stitch.
KNITTER'S NOTES
Our thumb gusset is unique. Stick with it. We walk you through each round step by step, and think you'll find the thumb bind-off is quite neat and tidy. It might help to have someone read the directions out loud to you!
Pam points out that while buttons are optional, if you add them, you create a left and a right glove. Otherwise your gloves are reversible. Something to consider!
